Dr. Ellis received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic where he was born and raised. After obtaining his medical degree at the oldest University in the “new world”, he dedicated his efforts working for one year in a rural, small hospital, getting involved with the health needs of the patients in the community. He also completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Dominican Republic and soon after went to The Doctors Hospital in Miami for a mini-fellowship in urodynamics and pelvic floor.
Dr. Ellis directed a Health TV show in his country with the purpose of educating people about health topics and also founded the first “Urinary Incontinence Center”. After working for many years as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist in the Dominican Republic, he moved to New York City where he specialized again in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, a Community Hospital which is affiliated with Cornell University, where he had the opportunity to care for patients with many different conditions and high risk pregnancies.
Dr. Ellis does not believe in doing extraordinary things, but he believes in doing the ordinary things extraordinarily well. He is committed to providing the best possible care to his patients in a friendly, compassionate and professional manner.
